By accessing or using FitMyPDF ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. Your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any modifications to these terms.

Service Description

FitMyPDF is a web-based tool that compresses PDF files to reduce their size. By default, processing is done in your web browser, so your files stay on your device. We also offer an optional “Compress on server” choice for stronger compression; if you select it, your file is uploaded to our server only for that compression step and is deleted immediately afterwards. See our Privacy Policy for details.

No Guarantee

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

• The Service will be available at all times without interruption.
• Compression results will meet specific size targets.
• Compressed files will maintain full fidelity of the original.
• The Service will be free of errors or bugs.

User Responsibility

You are responsible for reviewing the output of any compressed PDF before using it. We recommend that you:

• Preview the compressed file to ensure readability.
• Verify that all text, images, links, and form fields are intact before submitting the file to any portal, application, or recipient.
• Keep a backup of your original file.

FitMyPDF is not responsible for any consequences arising from the use of compressed files, including but not limited to rejected applications, missed deadlines, or data loss.

Intellectual Property

The content, design, and code of the FitMyPDF website are owned by FitMyPDF and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You keep all rights to your original PDF files. Using the Service does not transfer ownership of your documents to us.

Fair Use & Rate Limits

To ensure reliable service for all users, automated or bulk access to the Site is subject to rate limits. Excessive requests may be temporarily throttled or blocked. We reserve the right to restrict access if usage degrades service for others.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without notice, if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct we deem harmful to the Service or other users.

Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the Service for any illegal, harmful, or abusive purpose, including but not limited to:

• Processing files that contain illegal content.
• Attempting to overwhelm or attack our infrastructure.
• Using the Service to violate the rights of any third party.
• Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling the Service.
• Using automated systems to access the Service in an unauthorized manner.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FitMyPDF and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of opportunities, arising from or related to your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the Service (if any).

Changes to Terms

We may change these Terms of Service at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
